以法莲，玛拿西，以萨迦，西布伦有许多人尚未自洁，他们却也吃逾越节的羊羔，不合所记录的定例。希西家为他们祷告说，凡专心寻求神，就是耶和华他列祖之神的，虽不照着圣所洁净之礼自洁，求至善的耶和华也饶恕他。
That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
耶和华阿，你曾把我的灵魂从阴间救上来，使我存活，不至于下坑。
O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
谁升天又降下来。谁聚风在掌中。谁包水在衣服里。谁立定地的四极。他名叫什么。他儿子叫名叫什么。你知道吗。
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
蚂蚁是无力之类，却在夏天豫备粮食。
The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
猎狗，公山羊，和无人能敌的君王。
A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
耶和华说，日子将到，我要使我的百姓以色列和犹大被掳的人归回。我也要使他们回到我所赐给他们列祖之地，他们就得这地为业。这是耶和华说的。
For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
你们且访问看看，男人有产难吗。我怎吗看见人人用手掐腰，像产难的妇人，脸面都变青了呢。
Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
哀哉。那日为大，无日可比。这是雅各遭难的时候，但他必被救出来。
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
万军之耶和华说，到那日，我必从你颈项上折断仇敌的轭，扭开他的绳索。外邦人不得再使你作他们的奴仆。
For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
